Notes: Stiff Bottle-brush is an evergreen shrub that grows to 2 or 3 metres tall. The bright red flowers are arranged in a spike about 10 cm. long. The stamens are very long and there are no petals. Tightly packed, the inflorescence resembles a bottle brush. This photo was taken in the Kadoorie Farm & Botanic Gardin in Hong Kong.
