Notes: One of two common types of mistletoe found in the park, the Pacific mistletoe (Phoradendron villosum) favors oaks as a host for its parasitic ways. In some respects, it is not a "true" parasite because it can photosynthesize, but it does steal water and minerals from the host tree. The mistletoe is spread by birds that eat its sticky seed
