Notes: Sea hollies.  Acanthus ebracteatus (left), Acanthus volubils (middle) and Acanthus ilicifolius (right). The best way to distinguish the 3 species of sea hollies is to examine the flowers. But in many instances, flowers are not available as a character for identification.
