Locality: Horse Mountain (Humboldt County, California, US)

Notes: this occurrence (NDDB #1) has been universally attributed to ssp. sonamensis (FOUR SEASONS 7(3)1985 and MADRONO 35:333. 1988), but the glandularity in the plants I inspected was confined to the pedicles only, not on the twigs or petioles
