Scientific Name: Rumex hymenosepalus Torr.

Locality: Oro Blanco Wash near Arivaca Lake, Santa Cruz Co., Arizona; 3 Jan 2017

Notes: We observed many of these tubers in excavated heaps along washes and in lowland gravelly soil. After transplanting, this one (15 cm long) grew into Rumex hymenosepalus.
