Cal-tube campanulate to hemispheric, bilabiate, the broad lower lip 3-toothed, the narrow upper one shallowly cleft; pet subequal, clawed, the standard orbicular, the wings ovate-oblong, the keel-pet upcurved, lanceolate, acute; stamens diadelphous; fr few- several-seeded, transversely jointed; herbs or shrubs with 1-3-foliolate or odd-pinnate lvs and small or medium-sized fls in long-peduncled axillary umbels. 20, Europe, Mediterranean.
