Weak annual, 5-25 cm, branched at base; lfls 2-4 pairs, to 1.5 cm; tendrils simple; stipules entire; fls 1 or 2 in the axils, blue or violet, 5-8 mm, subsessile; cal 4-6 mm; fr 1.5-3 cm, 6-12-seeded; 2n=12. Native of the Mediterranean region, locally intr. in our range.
