Bulb ellipsoid-ovoid, 26-43 × 15-27 mm, sometimes with blackish tunic. Leaves 24-52 cm × 4-8 mm, mature plants without blackish, shriveled foliage at base of scape; blade grayish green. Scape 47-87 cm, rarely branched, 2-4 mm thick at base. Inflorescences: terminal raceme (5-)8-16(-32) cm; flowers (10-)25-30(-40) per 10 cm of raceme. Flowers: tepals yellowish white with pale yellowish or purplish central vein, oblong-lanceolate, 8-12 × 2 mm; stamens seldom exposed at anthesis; filaments 5-7 mm; anthers pale yellowish. Capsules ellipsoid to obovoid-ellipsoid, 9-11 × 6-8 mm. Seeds dark grayish green, sometimes yellowish brown to black, 4-5 mm.

Flowering Jun--Jul, fruiting Jul--Aug. Bogs and wet seepage areas of serpentine outcroppings; of conservation concern; 400--500 m; Oreg.
