Fruiting pedicels (divaricate-ascending), straight or slightly sigmoid. Petals cream-white or white. Fruits as wide as or longer than wide, apex rounded-acute; valves glabrous inside; septum complete; ovules 10-14 per ovary; style 1-2 mm.

Subspecies kaibabensis is found on the Kaibab Plateau.
