Tamarix parviflora looks outwardly exactly like the more common species of this exotic genus, Tamarix chinensis. Tamarix parviflora flowers are four merous and the panicle branches are short while the branches of Tamarix chinensis longer and the flowers are five merous. Tamarix parviflora is found in Silver City and is an escaped ornamental

Has 4-merous fls, with the filaments seated on the 4 lobes of the disk.
