Leaves: petiole 9-14 cm; blade 5-18 cm, widely obovate, ternate-pinnately dissected, segments generally 1-3 mm, linear; cauline leaves 0 or like basal

INFLORESCENCE: umbels compound, peduncled; glabrous to minutely scabrous; peduncle 8-25 cm; bractlets several, linear; rays 4-15, 2-13 cm, suberect; pedicels 1-2(5) mm

Flowers: small, few; calyx lobes generally 0; corolla yellow; petals wide, yellow, white, or purple, tips narrowed; stamens 5; pistil 1, ovary inferior, 2-chambered

Fruit: 2 dry, 1-seeded halves that separate from each other but generally remain attached for some time to a central axis, 8-17 mm, generally linear-oblong, very compressed front-to-back, glabrous; wings < 1/2 body in width; marginal ribs widely to narrowly thin or thick-winged, others thread-like; oil tubes per rib-interval several; fruit axis divided to base; Seed: face flat to concave
