Slender, 3-6 dm; lvs numerous, linear, 8-15 cm, glabrous or nearly so; umbels 1-6, 10-30-fld, on peduncles 1-5 cm; pedicels with incurved hairs; cor pale greenish-white and tinted with purple, its lobes 5-6 mm; hoods as in no. 19 [Asclepias hirtella (Pennell) Woodson], but reaching just to the projecting angle of the anther-wings. Moist or wet pine-lands on the coastal plain; Del. to Fla. and La. July, Aug. (Acerates l.; A. floridana, misapplied)
