Phyllodes 2-6 cm, with 4-6 transverse septa; peduncle about as long, with 4-9 fls; fr broadly ovoid, 2 mm, nearly or fully as wide; 2n=22. Tidal mud and brackish marshes; N.S. to Fla. and Miss. Summer. (L. lineata)
