Flowers 10-27 per inflorescence; 12-18 mm. Fruits 6-12 × 7-16(-24) mm; wings well developed, truncate or tapering to beaklike apex of fruit body.
Flowering year-round. Sandy soils, coastal scrub, lees of dunes near strand; 0-50 m; Calif.; Mexico (Baja California).
