Diffusely branched, hairy, seldom over 10 cm; free petiole 1 mm; blade subrotund, 3-5 mm, deeply trifid, each segment deeply 3-toothed; stipules with several oblong lobes almost as long as the undivided part; hypanthium scarcely 1 mm at anthesis, under 2 mm in fr; sep connivent; 2n=16. Native of s. Europe, intr. into lawns and waste places from L.I. to Ala. Apr.-June. (Alchemilla m.)
