Petals white; sepals greenish, usually glabrous, rarely sparsely pubescent.
Flowering Apr-Jun. Sand-stone rock outcrops, rocky slopes, sandy soil, mostly pinyon-juniper woodlands; 1500-2400 m; Colo., Utah.
Subspecies vivariensis is known only from Moffat County, Colorado, and Uintah County, Utah.
