Plants sprawling. Leaves: blade (ovate to lanceolate), margins usually sinuately or crenately lobed, rarely pinnatisect. Fruits (slenderly) lanceoloid, 19-31 mm, usually not constricted at articulation; terminal segment at least 2 times length of proximal, apex acute to blunt, relatively long. 2n = 18.

Flowering year-round. Sandy beaches; ca. 0 m; introduced; Fla.; West Indies.
