Stems clustered on a stout taproot, ±ascending, 1-5 dm, leafy, softly spreading-villous; lower stipules membranous, broadly ovate, 7-20 mm; lfls 23-33, narrowly oblong to elliptic, 1-2 cm, glabrous above, long-hairy beneath; cal-tube 6-11 mm, saccate-gibbous at base, villous; cor ochroleucous, 1.5-2 cm; fr ascending, bilocular, indehiscent, 2.5-4 cm × 7-13 mm, curved, acuminate, thick-walled, thinly long-hairy, wrinkled when dry, pithy within.
