Much like P. anserina; stolons, pedicels, and leaf axes glabrous or sparsely appressed-hairy; lfls averaging slightly smaller, gray-tomentose beneath on the surface, sericeous on the veins only; achenes somewhat flattened laterally, 1.5-2 mm, rounded or narrowly ridged on the back, not furrowed; 2n=28. Wet, sandy seacoasts, commonly in brackish soil; Lab. to L.I., and the Pacific coast of N. Amer. (Argentina p.)
